Precautions for tents when camping

  • After each trip, clean the inner and outer tent, poles, and pegs. The main cleaning objects are snow, rain, dust, mud, grass, and small insects.
  • Tents should not be cleaned using a washing machine. Instead, they should be washed by hand, with water and a non-alkaline detergent. After washing, they should be placed in a well-ventilated area to dry, and then folded and stored in a dry, cool place. It is important not to fold the tent too neatly and consistently, as this can cause hardened creases and cracks or damage over time.
  • Please pay attention not to enter the tent with shoes on when using it, as the soil and pebbles on the shoe soles can easily scratch the inner tent, resulting in losing its waterproof ability.

  • Avoid cooking, smoking, high temperatures, and open flames inside the tent as they pose a great risk to the tent. If the weather outside  is bad and cooking inside the tent is necessary, then an aluminum foil or other heat-insulating material should be placed under the stove and all doors and windows of the tent should be opened.
  • It is recommended to avoid using open flames such as candles for lighting inside tents at night without proper protection. Instead, use headlights, flashlights, or tent-specific lamps.
  • Before going to bed, please place climbing gear, ropes and other professional equipment in the corner of the tent or the vestibule in front of the inner and outer doors to prevent the tent from being damaged if these sharp items are kicked or touched during the night. If there is any damage, it should be repaired in a timely and proper manner.
