The Three Regions Of Hubei, Hunan And Jiangxi Join Hands To Hold A Tent Camping Season Activity

From the 10th to the 11th of a certain month, the Xiang, E, and Gan regions held a camping event at Huanglongshan Moutain in Tongcheng County, Hubei Province. The event aimed to promote local cultural and tourism resources, and jointly promote the "Huanglongshan Moutain" tourism brand.

On that day, many camping enthusiasts came from all directions to experience the new camping tourism and enjoy the natural scenery and outdoor life of Huanglong Mountain. The colorful tents and distant mountains formed a harmonious and beautiful rural picture. 

Tongcheng, Pingjiang, and Xiushui belong to the Tianyue Mufu mountain range, sharing a common territory, culture, landscape, industries, and economy. Huanglong Mountain is located at the junction of Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi provinces and has been known since ancient times as the place where "one foot steps into three provinces". 

In recent years, the economic and cultural exchanges between the three provinces of Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi have been expanding. In 2021, the three provinces jointly established the "Tongpingxiu" Green Development Pilot Zone in three counties, Tongcheng, Pingjiang, and Xiushui, in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, exploring new ways of cross-regional cooperation and sharing, and achieving coordinated development of ecological civilization and economic and social progress. The three counties focus on the Mufu Mountain as the main body, and use green corridors along the river, the lake, and the main transportation axes as links to build ecological barriers and jointly create the ecological green heart of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. In 2023, the three counties successfully applied for the national demonstration zone for the integration of cultural and tourism industries, and jointly built the core area of the urban agglomeration of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River for cultural and tourism integration. They achieved resource sharing, passenger flow attraction, brand co-creation, and industrial development. The three counties also issued a cultural and tourism "one-card pass" and launched four high-quality rural tourism routes.

The camping season event this time integrates multiple exciting activities such as agricultural product exhibition, art performance, and camping experience. At the launching ceremony held on the evening of the 10th, the three counties recommended each other's red tourism destinations, green resources, and characteristic cuisines. A rich and colorful cultural exhibition was also held. 

In recent years, Tongcheng County in Hubei province has relied on its natural ecological resources to develop a new mode of tourism development, anchored by the "mountain resort economy." This involves a combination of "homestay + scenic spots" and "homestay + camping" to drive the development of related industries such as rural tourism and agricultural product sales, boosting the acceleration of the tourism economy. 

Officials in Tongcheng County stated that the organization of this camping season not only reflects the full implementation of the concept "promoting culture through tourism, and promoting tourism through culture," but also serves as a concrete practice to promote the coordinated development of cultural tourism in the three regions of Red Tourist Attraction Area in Hunan Province, Hubei Green Mountain Scenic Area, and Ancient Town of Tongpingxi.
